A passionate leader in hospitality

Andrew is currently leading Hestia Hospitality plc – a new investment vehicle in the Hospitality sector, acquiring and building premium restaurant groups.

Andrew has over 20 years’ experience in leading hospitality and culture organisations. He has produced over two dozen West End and Broadway shows, winning Tony Awards, Olivier Awards, Evening Standard Theatre Awards and many more. Andrew has built and run theatres (including the first new, purpose-built

theatre in London in over half a century) and has sat on the boards of a wide variety of cultural and arts institutions.

Andrew returned to the hospitality sector as interim CEO for several organisations which included multi award-winning gastro pub, restaurant groups and hotels.

Andrew is Executive Chair for SALT, a leading marketing consultancy specialising in food and drink which he also founded. He is also a Trustee for Home Kitchen, a charity working to training and employ people from the homeless community into the Hospitality sector. Home Kitchen will open its first, flagship site in London in May 2024.

Andrew has previously been a board member of the British Institute of Innkeepers as well as a mentor for the Prince's Trust.

Andrew was elected as a Fellow of The Royal Society of Arts and has just completed his MBA from Warwick Business School. Furthermore, Andrew has recently also been awarded the Freedom of the City of London for services to Business and the Arts.

Non-Executive Director

Andrew is passionate about all aspects of hospitality and is currently working with a wide variety of clients from high end boutique hotels to bourgeoning pub companies to Michelin-starred restaurants in order to help them achieve excellence in their operations.

Whether it’s taking a project idea from concept to realisation, expanding a successful offering, optimising operations or preparing a company for external investment Andrew is well placed to offer practical assistance at every stage of your businesses development.

Television or Stage Hosting

Food programmes, wine programmes and live stage events require joie de vivre and immersion in the products, food and wine being discussed. Andrew’s experience hosting everything from Michelin starred chefs to healthy eating pieces have seen him hold one-to-one interviews with Marcus Wareing, Monica Galletti, Jose Pizarro and myriad others as part of filming or live events for Taste London, Big Feastival and Foodies Festival.

 

Contributor and Author Pieces

Andrew provides freelance articles on any food or drink topic. Recent examples include a review of Rosé wine for Stylist Magazine, content contribution to Restaurant Magazine, and a regular series on future pub gastronomy for InAPub Magazine.
